Alison Terry is a well known name in the swimming industry. She competed on a USA National Swim Team, and was elected to serve on USA Swimming’s Board of Directors. She was the first female of African American descent to achieve those accomplishments.
She competed in the Olympic Trials in 2000, and was an Open Water Age Group Lifeguard Champion in 2004. She is a former Masters American record holder and graduated high school with 6 of 8 San Diego CIF Section and age group records to her name and was inducted into the San Diego Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the top 50 Athletes of the 1st 50 years of San Diego CIF Section History.
Alan and Alison have a beautiful daughter named Malia, and she too is a swim star in the making.
Alison has a combined 31 years of competitive swimming and coaching experience that ranges from open water to pool competitions. She swam and coached collegiately and has helped train many successful athletes.
As a coach, she brings her national and international experience, Olympic level expertise, and a can-do attitude to the mix. She has worked with challenged athletes for the last decade, and has helped numerous swimmers in making remarkable achievements. She has coached in Zimbabwe and Turkey for the International Swimming Community.
